WELCOME TO MIAMI
Miami is always a popular tourist destination, especially around Spring Break season. Please make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability. Our preferred hotels are in west Miami (Kendall area) so they shouldn't be as crowded as hotels closer to the coast.
Please note that the Ultra Music Festival will be held in Miami, March 24-26, and brings in 150,000 people to Miami. The festival is at Bayfront Park, which is on the coast and the opposite side of Miami from our wedding venue. Please make travel arrangements sooner rather than later as flights and rental cars could book up. Also, please be aware that if you would like to stay at accommodations closer to the beach or in downtown Miami, as opposed to our preferred hotels, traffic could be worse around the downtown area. Finally, if you are flying out Sunday afternoon from MIA, we would recommend getting to the airport earlier than you normally would, incase there are delays. We recommend flying into Miami International Airport (MIA) or Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL)
Transportation
There a lots of ways to get around! There are plenty of car rental options, and Lyft and Uber are relatively inexpensive and easy to access. From the Wedding venue (The White Orchid) to the prefered hotel area is about a 15m drive and between a $10-$30 uber ride depending on time and type of car.
Accommodations
Because of it being Spring Break season in Miami, we have opted to not have a specific hotel for a room block in Kendall. Therefore, please see our "prefered" hotels below. These hotels are all with in a 15m drive of The White Orchid, these hotels are the closest hotels around the wedding venue. They are also about a 30m drive to the Welcome Party and Farewell BBQ. If you would like to stay closer to the beach and downtown Miami, we are happy to give recommendations but please be aware that traffic can get worse the closer you get to the tourist areas and could mean about an hour drive to the wedding venue. There are also a ton of AirB&Bs in the area as well.
