Whom should I contact with questions?
For any questions, please feel free to contact Katie or Jared at kbjtwedding@gmail.com or through text/phone call!
Will Penny be at the wedding?
Of course! Penny, our pup, is the most important thing to the both of us and we can't imagine her not being included in our special day. She will be at the ceremony and cocktail hour! We will have treat bags available if you would like to say hi to her!
Can I bring a date?
Formal invitations will indicate if you have a +1
Are kids welcome?
As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the wedding day celebrations. If this is an issue, please let us know!! However, if you would like to bring your kids to the Newlywed BBQ on Sunday, March 26th, you are more than welcome!
What will the weather be like?
Welcome to Miami! As most of you know, South Florida is a little unpredictable with weather. It should be high 70s to low 80s with humidity, so it would most likely feel like low to mid 80s for the day. Rain in South Florida is unpredictable but we have rain plans if needed!
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our venue, The White Orchid, is a beautiful modern barn! The ceremony will be outdoors in the field next to the barn structure and it will be uncovered, but we should be somewhat blocked from the sun by the barn. The cocktail hour will be on the barn's covered patio and the reception will be inside the barn, with air conditioning!
Where should I park? How should I get to the wedding venue?
There will be 50 parking spaces at The White Orchid for guests with vehicles. Since most of our guests are traveling from out of town, we recommend Ubering to the venue. The White Orchid is about a 15m Uber ride from our prefered hotels. If you are local or are renting a car, you will be able to park at the venue for free.
What should I wear?
For the wedding celebrations, we are kindly asking guests to follow a Formal dress code. With that said, we are not asking for "fancy" gowns or tuxes if that isn't your vibe. Ideas for attire include: cocktail dresses, nice midi or long dresses, nice jumpsuits or pantsuits, and traditional suit & tie. We would rather have you join us for our celebration than opt not to attend because of attire, but please, no jeans/khaki.
As for footwear, the only portion of the wedding celebration that will be on grass will be the ceremony so all types of footwear should be fine.
Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
Please check the "Travel" page for more information.
Do I need to mail back my RSVP card or can I do it online?
For the wedding day, we ask that you mail back the RSVP card as there is other important information we need from our guests. For the Welcome Party and Newlywed BBQ, we ask that you RSVP online through this website so we can get an estimated headcount. If you don't know if you'll be able to make the Welcome Party or BBQ by February 15th, no problem!
I am having trouble booking a hotel or rental home. What should I do?
We will help you!! Please contact Katie or Jared or email kbjtwedding@gmail.com
